Kin Ting Li
Kin Ting Li’s paintings explore the intersection between fixed meanings and the unknown. With richly textured surfaces, this ground challenges the process of image-making at a material level. Through shifts in scale, hybrid forms and morphing figures, the depicted spaces suggest both the microscopic and the cosmic. Protean renderings flow and transform, making size and location uncertain. These shapeshifting qualities create a metaphorical space that bridges inner and outer worlds.
Kin Ting Li (b.1991, Hong Kong) lives and works in London and graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art (2019).
